Kabbalat Shabbat
Most religious or cultural groups celebrate a day of rest (Sabbath). The Jewish Sabbath starts on Friday evening, so we enjoy a day of learning in a festive atmosphere including song and dance. Songs are in English and Hebrew which enables our children to extend through exposure to a language of different symbols and reading from right to left – with two languages often stated as being positive for early brain development.

The Details
The Kabbalat Shabbat program (known by its shortened name Kab Shab) is a precursor to the Preschool. Children become familiar with the teachers and their surrounding environment with a once a week class. We encourage our Kab Shab participants to enroll in the Preschool.
